J.I.D’s music is made for the moshpit. Hailing from J Cole’s dynamic Dreamville collective, J.I.D is armed with an unrivalled flow and a sound made to rage to. Swapping in and out between trap-heavy hits, mellow jazzy tracks and Dreamville posse cuts, J.I.D brought energy we hadn’t seen at a hip-hop show since Denzel Curry.
As limbs flailed and moshpits formed, J.I.D couldn’t wipe the smile off his face. His love and passion were both audible and visible, and he soon became our favourite act of the St Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2020.
