Our Must-See London Gigs Nov 2024 / by Jack Gobbe

You heard the news yet? Extraordinaire has made the big move to London town! While we’re sitting here in the depths of (almost) winter reminiscing about the Aussie sun, we’ve got plenty of gigs lined up to keep us busy. Here’s what’s on our radar:

Khruangbin  // Eventim Apollo (21st November)

We’ve been obsessed with Khraungbin for a hot minute, although are yet to catch them live. This is all set to change this month, you’ll find us front row at the Eventim Apollo

Fontaines D.C // Alexandra Palace (22nd & 23rd November)

Speaking of Fontaines D.C, the band in everyone’s headphones are gracing London for their biggest local headline show yet. Hot off the hype of their fourth album ‘Romance’, the beloved Irish rockers are all set to deliver their signature post-punk sound. And with the band selling out a headline Finsbury Park show next summer, this is the likely the most ‘initmate’ (if you can call Ally Pally intimate) you’ll see the band in years to come. Tickets are expectedly sold out for this one, but keep an eye on Dice resale here.

Royel Otis // Electric Ballroom  (27th November)

Sold out Aussie band in London? We’re there! The indie-rock darlings from down under have embarked on their biggest year yet, assisted by their world class covers of ‘Linger’ and ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ as well as an excellent debut album ‘Pratts & Pains’. With their venue already being upgraded from the Troxy to Electric Ballroom, we’re stoked to see the boys play their biggest London headline show yet. Keep an eye on resale here.

Been Stellar  // Scala (28th November)

It’s common to hear that indie rock is in decline, although bands like Been Stellar indicate quite the opposite. Fuelled by the legacy of NYC indie acts that come before them, the five-piece band have hit the ground running with a fiery debut album and support slots for the likes of Fontaines D.C and Shame. Much like the aforementioned bands, this is the kind of gig you’ll look back on not believe that you saw them at such small venue. Catch them at Scala this month.

IDLES // Alexandra Palace (29th & 30th November)

It’s a big fan for rock fans in London, and there’s no better way to cap it off than with IDLES at Ally Pally. The ferocious five-piece are set to unleash their latest album ‘TANGK’ to the masses, and you’ll catch us in the Ally Pally mosh pit. Grab tickets here.
