Another year, another round of too many gigs to see in one month. London is kicking off the live music year with a bang, catch us at these gigs over the next two months.
Earthgang @ Koko 28th Jan
Somehow Earthgang have been around for more than 10 years. The Atlanta duo have made a name for themselves through their playful flavour of Southern rap, with their 2024 release ‘PERFECT FANTASY’ only strengthening their credentials in the hip-hop space. Catch them performing at Koko this January.
JPEGMAFIA @ Roundhouse 4th Feb
Combine the energy of a hardcore crowd with the experimentation of an ‘underground’ rapper (not sure if we can call Peggy underground anymore) and you’ve got a textbook JPEGMAFIA show. Hot off his latest (and arguably best) album ‘I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU’, it’s safe to say that Peggy is only getting better. Tickets have already been snapped up for this one, but join the Dice waitlist to be the first to get resale.
Glare @ The Dome 7th Feb
It’s a great month for shoegaze fans! Cult favourite American shoegazers The Glare are gracing the UK for an expansive tour, stopping by London via The Dome. Catch the beloved shoegazers here.
Justice @ Alexandra Palace 11/12th Feb
After a brilliant headline slot at Field Day London last year, the groovers return to the big smoke with two shows at the incredible Alexandra Palace. Tickets for the first night have already sold out, so act quick on the newly announced second show.
Inhaler @ O2 Academy Brixton 13/14th Feb
Irish rock outfit Inhaler have been going from strength to strength, with their latest album ‘Open Wide’ seeing the band expand into brighter, bolder ballads. At their core is a fervent blend of vocals and instrumentation that holds up with the likes of many classic and contemporary rockers. Catch them across two O2 Academy Brixton dates this Feb.
Schoolboy Q @ Roundhouse 20th Feb
His latest album, ‘Blue Lips’, only adds to this legacy. Trading his party-going anthems for introspective albeit playful tunes, Schoolboy is switching up his sound with ease. Join us at Roundhouse for this one.
Ela Minus @ Oslo 20th Feb
Colombian producer Ela Minus has been in our rotation ever since her 2020 release ‘Acts of Rebellion’, a brooding electronic project that proved the multi-instrumentalist’s prowess. With her latest album, ‘DIA’, adding to her prolific blend of eletronica, we’re eagerly anticipating Ela’s return to the touring world this year. Catch her at the intimate Oslo club in Hackney this Feb.
High Vis @ Electric Brixton 21st Feb
The London post-punk band have reached a new level of popularity since their recent album ‘Guided Tour’, a testament to their signature flavour of hardcore-influenced energy. Catch them at Electric Brixton this Feb.
Youth Play @ Shacklewell Arms 26th Feb
If you’re anything like us, diving into the London music scene is both a rewarding yet overwhelming experience. Thankfully, tastemakers and promoters like Season One Festival make discovering artists that much easier. We’ve got our eyes on the Hongza and The Youth Play double billing at the Shacklewell Arms. With both bands growing within the London shoegaze and post-punk scene, this will be one of those gigs you look back on and thank yourself that you saw these promising bands when you did. Grab tickets here.
