Must-See Brisbane Gigs in June 2023 / by Jack Gobbe

Somehow we’re already halfway through the year, and the gigs keep rolling! June brings an interesting collection of must-see gigs to Brisbane, with the likes of Vivid Sydney and Dark Mofo sideshows making their way to Brisvegas. Here’s what you need to see:

Thundercat  // The Tivoli (7th June)

The funky bass wizard of the indie scene is finally returning to Australia. There’s a reason Thundercat has collaborated with all of your favourite artists, the man is a prolific musician who brings a signature flair to anything he touches. Catch him at The Tivoli this June.

The Pharcyde // The Tivoli (11th June)

When a legendary group like The Pharcyde pay a visit, you can’t miss it. The acclaimed hip-hop trio have been dormant for a hot minute, yet the legacy they paved in the 90s can’t be ignored. Their slick, laid-back rap is a craft well-honed over the years, and will be a treat to experience live at The Tivoli this June.

Molchat Doma // The Princess Theatre (15th June)

It’s rare to see a band like Molchat Doma all the way in Brisbane. The Belarusian band’s distinct blend of post-punk and synth wave is a flavour often missed in Australia’s local scene. Molchat Doma are set to take over the Princess Theatre on 15th June.
